As a Director, Product Management, you will play a critical role in the delivery of high-impact transformation initiatives across Global Product Creation, driving roadmap development, prioritization, dependency management, and execution discipline. Sitting at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and engineering, you will lead capabilities to maximize enterprise value and deliver a seamless, high-performance Tech Stack. In this capacity, you will define and drive the product group vision, roadmap, and investment business cases in direct alignment with Ford's broader digital and industrial ecosystem goals. You will convert high-level strategy into clear initiatives, partnering closely with engineering, design, and platform teams to own the end-to-end agile development, launch, and flawless execution of high-quality, scalable features while carefully managing requirements, trade-offs, and timelines. Furthermore, you will maintain operational excellence by establishing KPIs, monitoring system and product health, driving operational improvements, leading incident response, managing budgets and resource allocation, mitigating digital and enterprise risks, and integrating emerging technologies like AI to drive efficiency and modern capabilities.

Based in Dearborn, MI, this is a hybrid position with a required four-day onsite presence each week. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive product group vision, roadmap, and investment business cases, in alignment with Ford's broader digital and industrial ecosystem goals.
  • Convert high-level strategy into clear initiatives, partnering closely with engineering and platform teams to build high-quality, scalable features while managing trade-offs, requirements, and timelines.
  • Own end-to-end agile development and launch of features, collaborating across engineering, design, and product to ensure flawless execution and quality.
  • Identify and navigate dependencies and integrations across a matrixed organization, driving end-to-end value stream optimization to maximize enterprise-wide value.
  • Uncover internal customer needs through robust discovery, customer feedback, and telemetry to make high-impact, data-driven decisions.
  • Establish KPIs, monitor system/product health, drive operational improvements, and lead incident response.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with senior executives and external partners, serving as the bridge to align technical delivery with commercial needs.
  • Mentor, build, and grow a collaborative, customer-centric team, setting clear objectives and fostering continuous innovation.
  • Oversee budgets and resource allocation, mitigate digital and enterprise risks, and integrate emerging technologies like AI to drive efficiency and modern capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading Agile teams, fostering a "fail-fast, learn-fast" culture, and guiding successful digital change management initiatives.
  • 5+ years of Senior Product Management experience with skills that include the following:
  • Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, with experience designing talent pipelines and succession plans for critical roles.
  • Decisive, articulate, and comfortable commanding a room; experienced in guiding executive discussions, building consensus, and distilling complex technical topics into actionable business decisions.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, proactively resolving conflicts and driving alignment in politically charged or highly matrixed environments.
  • Strong financial management skills, including business case development, budget oversight, and value-driven portfolio prioritization.
  • Solid grasp of Human-Centered Design (HCD), user-experience metrics (e.g., SUS), and building systemic feedback loops to anticipate customer needs.
  • Proactive self-starter who defines agendas, anticipates problems 1–2 quarters out, makes sound decisions under high ambiguity, and course-corrects rapidly.
  • Strong results orientation, driving structured accountability and performance metrics across teams in a fast-paced environment.
