Responsibilities

As a Senior Lighting Designer, you'll develop conceptual and production lighting design solutions for advanced and production lighting projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating compelling and innovative lighting design experiences and visions for design projects
  • Developing human-centered design experiences with an emphasis on exterior design holistic experience
  • Coordinating the work of other design personnel to achieve holistic design visions
  • Creating future lighting design visions focused on building our brand
  • Spanning digital and physical thinking, including software and hardware
  • Problem-solving around topics of connectivity, mobility, and consumer segments

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or a similar field
  • 4+ years of experience in automotive or transportation design, including experience specific to lighting conceptual design and final product execution
  • The ability to interpret customer needs and global trends into compelling lighting design visions
  • Strong technical aesthetic judgment to lead team members
  • Awareness of global automotive lighting technology, regulations, and trends
  • Demonstrated creative exterior/interior/component design perceptions and capability
  • Exceptional design intuition, strong problem-solving skills, and a superior ability to visually communicate through sketches and renderings
  • 4+ years of experience translating 2D to 3D and thinking three-dimensionally with a strong emphasis on proportions and a refined sense of form
  • Familiarity with design trends within and across design professions and global cultures
  • Outstanding teamwork, leadership, visual, written, and verbal communication skills

Salary

The salary grade range for this position is 7-8, with a range of $86,600 - $166,200.
