Description
We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Principal Engineer to join the UK GCC CIVIL Team. The Civil team in Bengaluru will work alongside our UK discipline. You will be responsible for planning and managing the delivery of projects, including ensuring design adequacy, compliance with standards and legislation, resource allocation, cost control, and quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage project delivery
- Ensure design adequacy and compliance with standards and legislation
- Manage resources, costs, and quality
- Lead road pavement design projects
- Work with heavy-duty pavements (ports and airfields)
- Design concrete and flexible pavements
- Conduct pavement investigations for maintenance and failure analysis
- Understand material behavior and standard specifications
- Oversee road operations, maintenance, and renewal practices
- Coordinate with various engineering disciplines and project support groups
- Lead teams and manage people
- Communicate effectively with excellent interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- 11 years of professional experience in pavement design and evaluation
- At least 5 years of experience in pavement design using AASHTO/DMRB methods
- Chartered member or close to achieving Chartered status with the UK Engineering Council (ICE or CIHT)
