Description
Perplexity is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to work on AI policy and strategic initiatives. You will work directly with senior leadership to spearhead technology initiatives across policy, law, operations, and corporate affairs.
As a Member of Technical Staff in the Policy & Strategic Initiatives group, you'll have a front-row seat to the foremost policy issues in the AI ecosystem. Your work will be highly interdisciplinary and grounded in engineering rigor.
Responsibilities:
- Harness AI agents to research high-stakes policy and regulatory issues
- Build automated platforms for harvesting, prioritizing, and patenting inventions
- Work with the Legal team and outside counsel on high-tech litigation matters
- Engineer privacy and compliance systems for frontier AI products
- Contribute to regulatory filings and responses
- Implement software solutions for recruiting, labor compliance, and performance management
- Participate in meetings with government officials and civil society as a subject-matter expert
Requirements:

Compensation: $200K - $350K, with equity, health, dental, vision, retirement, fitness, commuter and dependent care accounts, and more.
