Centre Manager

Fuse Energy is building a new Training Centre in Birmingham and is looking for a Centre Manager to lead it. The Centre Manager will be responsible for running the centre day-to-day, owning its quality and accreditation, and building Birmingham into a fully accredited training operation.

Responsibilities:

• Run the day-to-day operation of the training centre - facilities, scheduling, budget, and team.
• Lead and line-manage the training team.
• Own the centre's quality-management system and lead internal quality assurance - independently sampling and verifying trainers' assessment decisions.
• Own the centre's accreditation: act as the named point of contact for the awarding bodies, and take the centre through approval and ongoing audits.
• Build and maintain the centre's compliance framework - health & safety, safeguarding, data protection, equality & diversity, malpractice and appeals.
• Lead health & safety across a site with live gas and electrical practical work.
• Drive continuous improvement across the centre's training and quality operations.

Requirements:

• Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance qualification (IQA/V1, or equivalent).
• Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET).
• A recognised assessing qualification (TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent).
• Experience managing a training centre, workshop, or similar technical/vocational operation, including managing people and owning a budget.
• Hands-on technical background in at least one of Fuse Energy's training areas - smart metering (gas and electric), electrical, EV installation, heat pumps, solar, BESS.
• Experience owning compliance and quality standards for a training or technical operation - ideally as a point of contact for an awarding body or accreditation scheme.
• Health & safety leadership experience across technical or practical work.
