Compressors & Steam Turbines Engineer

We are seeking a Compressors & Steam Turbines Specialist with extensive experience and strong technical skills in Rotating Equipment, focusing on compressors and steam turbines. The successful candidate will work with the Rotating Equipment Division (RED) to provide high-level technical consultations and support to operating facilities, joint ventures, and mega projects. The role involves developing value-adding concepts and technologies to address corporate challenges and enhance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical consultations for equipment including dynamic and positive displacement compressors, gearboxes, and steam turbines.
• Involve in specifying and reviewing equipment designs, selections, ratings, and specifications for new projects and existing equipment modifications.
• Maintain and improve the company's compressors, gearboxes, and steam turbines standards.
• Develop and introduce new technologies and innovative ideas to address business challenges and enhance equipment reliability, availability, and performance.
• Lead in developing and recommending solutions to solve plant machinery technical issues.
• Provide work direction, technical advice, and mentoring to teammates and junior engineers.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized and approved program; advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 20 years of experience in Rotating Equipment with a focus on compressors and steam turbines within refineries, chemical plants, gas plants, or similar facilities.
• Experience in analyzing performance, troubleshooting, selecting, and repairing process gas compressors, steam turbines, and gearboxes, including auxiliary components.
• Detailed knowledge of international codes and API standards related to rotating equipment.
• Category II vibration analyst certification.
• Must submit at least two recent engineering reports or case histories on rotating equipment authored by the candidate.
