Bridge Product Accountant

Stripe, a financial infrastructure platform, seeks a Bridge Product Accountant to join its accounting team.

The successful candidate will focus on products developed by Stripe's Bridge subsidiary, leveraging technical expertise with U.S. GAAP to identify accounting implications and advise cross-functional partners.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and performing monthly close activities for Bridge products
• Identifying and implementing scalable accounting processes to support global growth
• Partnering with business and finance teams to understand new products and contracts
• Collaborating with Internal Systems and Engineering teams to improve financial systems and automate accounting processes
• Assessing internal controls and designing processes for emerging business activities
• Analyzing financial results to identify and address anomalies
• Supporting external audit processes

The ideal candidate will have:

• 7+ years of relevant public accounting and/or industry experience
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• A professional accountancy qualification such as CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and experience with internal controls
• Experience with monthly or quarterly close processes, journal-entry preparation and posting, audits, regulatory reporting, financial-statement preparation, and accounting systems
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to structure ambiguous work and build systems and automation
• Demonstrated experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders

Preferred qualifications include experience in the technology or payments industry, accounting for cryptocurrencies, experience with Oracle Suite, and data-querying and analysis tools, including SQL.
