Description
Faire is seeking a Senior Detection and Response Engineer to build and lead the detection and response capability from the ground up, focusing on the enterprise environment.
The successful candidate will shape the technical direction for detection and response, define what good looks like, build the roadmap, and make the case for the necessary tooling and support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building detection engineering for Faire's enterprise environment end-to-end, including telemetry pipelines, detection content, alert routing, and enrichment
- Bringing a threat-informed point of view to track how adversaries operate against similar companies and translating that into detections, hunts, and tabletop exercises
- Owning detections and data pipelines written as Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Automating triage, enrichment, and response to manage alert volume without increasing analyst time
- Collaborating with teams like IAM, CPE, NetEng, and IT Infrastructure Engineering to get the required telemetry
- Partnering with Enterprise Security to translate detection findings into control improvements and handing root causes to the relevant teams
Requirements:
- Deep hands-on experience in detection engineering, incident response, or security operations
- Strong proficiency in Python and query languages like SQL
- Experience with SIEM, EDR, and security analytics platforms
- Investigative depth on endpoints and in cloud and SaaS environments
- Excellent written communication and a collaborative approach
