Description

A Trans Ops Representative at TOC facilitates the flow of information between different stakeholders, including Trans Carriers, Hubs, and Warehouses, and resolves any potential issues that impact customer experience and business continuity.

The role involves working across two verticals – Inbound and Outbound operations. Inbound Operations deals with Vendor/Carrier/FC relationships, ensuring that freight is picked up on time and delivered to FC as per the given appointment. Outbound Operations deals with FC/Carrier/Carrier Hub relationships, ensuring that trucks leave the FC to deliver customer orders as promised.

The ideal candidate should be able to understand requirements, analyze data, notice trends, and drive Customer Experience without compromising on time. They should have a basic understanding of Logistics and be able to communicate clearly in written and oral forms.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Communicate with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers)
  • Pull data from numerous databases using tools like Excel, Access, SQL, and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
  • Develop and understand performance metrics to assist with driving business results
  • Scope out business and functional requirements for Amazon technology teams
  • Make quick decisions based on available data
  • Systematically escalate problems or variances to relevant owners and teams and follow through on resolutions
  • Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs
  • Provide excellent communication, both verbal and written
  • Work in a 24/7 operating environment to provide real-time customer experience

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to research and validate data accurately
  • Working knowledge of Excel and basic data analysis tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, metric-driven, 24/7 shift-based environment
  • Ability to consistently meet productivity and quality targets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Geo Studio, SIM, or similar Amazon internal tools
  • Experience working directly with external or business customers over phone or email
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and exposure to QuickSight
