Grab is Southeast Asia's leading superapp. The Enterprise Data Analytics (EDA) team, part of Grab's Analytics function, owns the data behind Grab's regulatory obligations across Southeast Asia.
As the Senior Data Analyst, you will be the analytics owner of regulatory reporting for Grab's e-money, payments and P2P lending businesses in Indonesia. You will take each report end to end, from interpreting the regulation to delivering a validated output to Compliance for submission.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform:
- Take end-to-end ownership of daily, weekly and monthly regulatory reports for OJK, Bank Indonesia and industry bodies.
- Translate new and changed regulations into documented data requirements, definitions and pipeline changes.
- Reconcile regulatory outputs against Finance records and across related reports, find the root cause of discrepancies, and automate data-quality checks.
- Build and maintain reliable, reproducible reporting pipelines on Airflow and Spark.
- Assess the reporting impact of product launches, system migrations and source-data changes.
- Provide traceable, transaction-level analysis for regulatory audits, regulator data requests and AML transaction monitoring.
- Communicate data issues and their impact to mid-to-senior Compliance, Finance and Risk partners.
- Build AI tools and self-serve solutions that speed up report development and validation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 4 years of experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence or Data Science in regulatory reporting, compliance or risk at a FinTech company or Financial Institution.
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering or related fields.
- Proficient in writing advanced SQL queries on large datasets, and in Python for automating analysis and data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience building and operating scheduled data pipelines with Airflow or a similar orchestrator.
- Strong track record of reconciliations and data-quality controls.
- Working knowledge of Indonesian financial regulation and reporting (OJK, Bank Indonesia or AFPI) or of AML/CFT data.
- Full professional working proficiency in English is required, on top of fluency in Bahasa Indonesia.
