At Braze, we're a customer engagement platform that empowers brands to deliver great customer experiences. We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer I, Product Partnerships to join our team in São Paulo.
As a Senior Software Engineer I, Product Partnerships, you will take ownership of large-scale projects, from expanding our e-commerce offerings to optimizing the performance and resiliency of our complex backend systems that power integrations like Shopify. You will be a driving force behind our most critical initiatives, shape the future of our integration platform, design and code high-impact, foundational features, contribute to the team's technical and product strategy, and lead by example, mentoring other engineers and ensuring the work of the team is maximally effective.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of large-scale projects, from expanding our e-commerce offerings to optimizing the performance and resiliency of our complex backend systems that power integrations like Shopify
- Be a driving force behind our most critical initiatives
- Shape the future of our integration platform
- Design and code high-impact, foundational features
- Contribute to the team's technical and product strategy
- Lead by example, mentoring other engineers and ensuring the work of the team is maximally effective
Requirements:
- Experienced technical leader with a solid track record of full-stack development experience
- Strong understanding of design, data structures, and algorithms
- Self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proven track record of tackling ambiguous and complex problems and delivering high-quality solutions with minimal oversight
- Professional experience in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, React, SQL, and NoSQL databases, distributed systems, API design/monitoring/best practices
- Professional experience building software at scale
- Experience with agile processes
- Passion for customer experience
