Staff Technical Program Manager, Security + IT

Discord is looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager to lead security, IT, and compliance programs. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to implement solutions supporting detection and response, identity and access management, and endpoint/device management.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Security Engineering, IT, Legal, Privacy, and other teams to implement solutions
• Manage multiple complex programs with competing timelines and resource needs
• Develop a holistic ownership model for code, products, and programs
• Leverage a strong compliance-centric mindset to build and run Security and IT programs
• Partner with leadership to identify, develop, and run programs that mature the control environment
• Drive programs toward measurable, audit-ready outcomes
• Streamline Security Incident Management processes

Requirements:

• 8+ years of Technical Program/Product Management experience
• Experience with core Security programs and security compliance frameworks
• Worked with Engineering, Trust and Safety, Legal, and Privacy leadership
• Experience moving technical programs from concept to completion
• Comfortable operating in rooms with executive leadership

Nice to Have:

• Love for helping and empowering others
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant technical experience
• Security or compliance certifications
• Familiarity with security tooling ecosystems
• Experience programmatically supporting a detection and response function
• Exposure to public-company readiness work

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000 to $279,000 + equity + benefits.
