Description
As a Deployment Infrastructure Engineer at Rigetti Computing, you will own the deployment of Rigetti's quantum systems – on-premises at research institutions and partner sites around the world, and on our cloud platform.
You will be the technical point of contact for each deployment, from site requirements through installation, validation, and handoff. You will work closely with Engineering Operations, Quantum Engineers, and other front-facing teams to support Infrastructure and Information Technology (IT) responsibilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Owning the process for Deployment of Rigetti's quantum systems on both On-Premise and Cloud Platforms – including on-site installation and commissioning at customer and partner locations.
- Developing, optimizing, and deploying Infrastructure required for Rigetti's quantum systems.
- Serving as the primary technical point of contact for customers during deployment.
- Working closely with Quantum Engineers and Engineering operations to test, validate, and measure the deployed quantum systems.
- Suggesting and implementing improvements to Cloud and on-prem infrastructure as well as the deployment process.
- Leading retrospectives on completed deployments and folding the lessons into the standard process.
- Providing Site-reliability support and leading root-cause analysis for incidents.
The ideal candidate has significant hands-on experience in DevOps practices, Cloud Infrastructure, Networking, and modern deployment practices. Experience with Site-reliability and observability is a strong plus.
We offer a salary of USD 180,000-230,000 per year.
