Description
The London Borough of Redbridge is undergoing a significant transformation with ambitious regeneration plans, new infrastructure, and substantial investment. The Head of Leisure & Culture will play a crucial role in setting the strategic direction for a wide range of services, working with diverse partners and stakeholders.
The role involves fulfilling the 'client' function in relation to outsourced Leisure and Culture provision delivered by Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure. This includes ensuring effective contract management, clarifying contract objectives, and measuring performance against these objectives. The Head will also work closely with strategic partners such as Arts Council and Sport England, as well as local clubs, providers, and volunteers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contract management for Leisure and Culture provision
- Leading on contract management of associated capital development programmes for new leisure facilities, including an outdoor lido, a new indoor pool, and a climbing experience
- Building effective partnerships and networks to drive change at a system level
- Working within a political setting, reporting on performance measures, and responding to queries
The ideal candidate will have highly developed procurement and/or contract management experience, preferably within a Leisure or Arts/Culture setting. Experience working within a political setting and building partnerships is essential.
Salary: GBP 103,263 - 107,322 per year.
