Solutions Engineer, Okta (Enterprise West)

As a Solutions Engineer at Okta, you will work alongside the sales team as the technical and domain expert to help customers understand the value of Okta's solutions.

You will understand customer challenges and business issues and provide product demonstrations to align Okta's solutions with customer needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working with the sales team to help customers understand Okta's solutions
• Understanding customer challenges and providing product demonstrations
• Answering product feature and technical questions from customers, partners, and Okta colleagues
• Planning and delivering Proof Of Concepts for customers with complex use cases
• Providing feedback to product management about product enhancements
• Sharing best practices and reusable assets with other Solutions Engineers
• Staying current on competitive analysis and market differentiation
• Supporting marketing events, including executive briefings and conferences

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 4+ years of pre-sales engineering experience and solution selling
• A passion for serving customers, demonstrated in a customer-facing role
• The ability to quickly communicate complex ideas around technical topics
• Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Experience with network security protocols, such as OAuth and SAML
• Hands-on experience in web development, backend development, or scripting
• An understanding of core security concerns within typical applications
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Territory management skills, including pipeline building and working with Sales counterparts

The annual On Target Compensation (OTE) range for this position is between $160,000-$269,000 USD, depending on location and experience.
