Staff Engineer, Power System - Ranger (R6326)

As a Staff Power Systems Engineer, you’ll lead power system development from concept to production, solve complex technical challenges, and mentor a talented engineering team.

Responsibilities

As a Staff Power Systems Engineer you will:

• Define and execute the vision of the Ranger power system from concept to production.
• Design, develop, and integrate state-of-the-art high-power systems tailored for optimal performance and reliability in harsh environments.
• Enable an uninterruptible power system.
• Make vs. buy trade studies. Select, test, and integrate modules for use in the aircraft.
• Ensure system performance and reliability are met through rigorous verification.
• Debug complex problems related to the electrical design, environmental, manufacturing, etc.
• Help build the team and lead multiple engineers dedicated to the power system design.
• Drive a cross-functional team to execute the top-level architecture.
• Provide mentorship, design review, and program execution leadership.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Power system design experience on a large vehicle, aircraft, or an equivalent power system (rocket, satellite, submarine, etc.).
• 10+ years relevant experience.
• Have delivered power system and power electronic products to market.
• Proficient with electrical engineering development tools, simulation, and test equipment.
• Strong technical fundamentals and analysis.

Additional Information

• Salary: USD 180,000-279,998 per-year-salary
