Engineering Manager, Secure Development Engineering

The Information Security organisation at Airbnb plays a critical role in maintaining and building trust in the platform. As an Engineering Manager, Secure Development Engineering, you will lead the team that builds security products for engineers, including secure development frameworks, secure-by-default infrastructure products, and identity and access platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Own the roadmap for a portfolio of security products spanning secure SDLC, vulnerability management, infrastructure security, and platform identity
• Drive product thinking, focusing on user adoption and deprecation
• Identify gaps in the company's security posture and shape them into work for the team to own
• Turn engineering progress into stories leadership can act on
• Resolve ownership questions between teams
• Grow senior and staff engineers through sponsorship and coaching

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of hands-on experience managing a software engineering team
• 9+ years of relevant software development industry experience
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science
• Strong product and design instinct
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience leading and shipping large initiatives with high business impact
• Experience creating a strong culture of operational excellence
