Description
PIMCO is seeking a Fund Operations Associate to join their team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will have operational experience with Hong Kong domiciled funds and be able to effectively manage workflows to ensure high levels of operational service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating fund cash flows and funding requirements for PIMCO funds and communicating with trade floor teams
- Reviewing fund valuations (NAVs) calculated by external service providers to ensure accuracy before release to market
- Overseeing registry services for onboarding, AML/KYC reviews, transactions monitoring, and investor queries
- Coordinating fund financial reporting and audit preparations with external service providers
- Managing fund distributions and tax deliverables with external service providers
- Producing and reviewing fee and cost disclosures for Hong Kong funds
- Overseeing management fee processes, including fee accruals, invoice preparation, and rebate arrangements
- Providing oversight of service providers and coordinating periodic due diligence programs
- Working with legal and compliance teams on operational incident management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred, with postgraduate study (CFA or similar) highly regarded
- 6+ years of experience in fund operations at an asset management firm
- Understanding of the Hong Kong unit trust regulatory environment
- Ability to learn and master new concepts and processes quickly
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills across different business stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
