Powertrain Calibration Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Powertrain Calibration Engineer to join our team in Shanghai. As a Powertrain Calibration Engineer, you will be responsible for independent calibration and planning of vehicle base and emissions for PHEV/HEV variants. You will also support and mentor junior calibration engineers for major SOP vehicle programs.

The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of internal combustion engines and state-of-the-art aftertreatment systems. You should also have broad capabilities in EMS functions and calibration, preferably with UAES/Bosch systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Independent calibration and planning of vehicle base and emissions for PHEV/HEV variants
• Supporting and mentoring junior calibration engineers for major SOP vehicle programs
• Providing technical support to the larger team for technical issues and planning of multiple vehicle variants for SOP
• Supporting series production launches in cooperation with customers

To qualify for this role, you should have:

• At least 3 years of experience in vehicle calibration programs, either ICE, hybrid, or EV
• At least 2 years of experience in vehicle SOP program management
• Strong communication skills in English
• Previous experience with independent calibration ability for ICE functions related to base and emissions and/or OBD for vehicle SOP projects
• Knowledge of OEM calibration quality gate processes and data management
• Good understanding of UAES/Bosch EMS control systems
• Strong technical skills in calibration to ensure data quality
