Physical Security Design Engineer and Contract Document Specialist

Anthropic's Global Safety, Intelligence, and Security (GSIS) organization is seeking a Physical Security Design Engineer and Contract Document Specialist. You will author and enhance contract document basis of design (BOD) and reusable design templates for the global office facility build program.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain contract document BOD, initiating content from site/risk assessments and programming efforts
• Author and evolve design templates for access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercommunications, radio, and network systems
• Serve as contract-document subject matter expert, reviewing consultant deliverables and driving coordination across disciplines
• Support bid, construction, and operational handover phases through specification clarifications and documentation reviews
• Partner with GSIS, Real Estate/Workplace, and Network Team to capture operational needs and lessons learned
• Maintain the GSIS design library under version control and provide regular status updates
• Implement automations and AI-assisted workflows to streamline design and documentation tasks

Requirements:

• Minimum 6+ years of design engineering experience with contract document development for physical security and/or low-voltage systems
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Core technical expertise in access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercommunications, radio, and network systems
• Strong understanding of A/E deliverables and phases, CSI-format specifications, and construction administration submittal processes
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement internal tools and strong critical thinking skills

Nice to Have:

• CDT, PSP, or CPP certification
• Familiarity with Revit API, BIM workflows, and modern AI-assisted development tools
• Experience with Apple OS, Google Suite, Bluebeam, Revit/AutoCAD, Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project, Procore, PlanGrid, and Autodesk Construction Cloud

Annual Salary: $180,000-$230,000 USD
