Description

We're looking for an Analyst, Policy Setup to join our team at AIA Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.

As an Analyst, Policy Setup, you will be responsible for performing Group business case setup in accordance with approved business requirements, product rules, technical specifications, and applicable operational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain product rules in the core system, ensuring configuration accuracy and compliance with approved requirements.
  • Develop and apply sound understanding of Corporate Solutions product features and contract terms for Package Products at intermediate level and Tailor-Made Products at basic level.
  • Review package product brochures and standard policy contracts to ensure system capabilities are aligned with business requirements and product administration needs.
  • Ensure product rules for medical, outpatient, term life, and personal accident benefits are configured in accordance with package product brochures and policy wording.
  • Maintain plan matrix setup based on approved enrolment design.
  • Configure policy period and billing mode formula in accordance with approved product and billing requirements.
  • Apply basic premium method formula based on approved setup requirements.
  • Set up administration fees, capitation fees, wakalah fees, and stamp duty structures across applicable distribution channels.
  • Configure commission structure formulas for the relevant distribution channels.
  • Maintain CDD information accurately in accordance with approved business requirements.
  • Coordinate with Third Party Administrators, where applicable, to support policy setup and administration requirements.
  • Attend internal enquiries relating to product benefits, policy setup requirements, and system configuration matters.
  • Support day-to-day workforce planning and annual leave planning to ensure operational continuity.
  • Provide training to new joiners on basic technical knowledge and core system processes.
  • Prepare daily productivity reports to support performance monitoring and operational tracking.
  • Act as processor to review workflow instructions and validate that rates, benefits sold, plan structure, premium rates, medical requirements, and reinsurance arrangements are accurate and aligned with established guidelines before completing case setup in the core systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma qualification with at least one year of relevant working experience in the insurance industry.
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency, accountability, and commitment to achieving performance targets.
  • Able to work independently while contributing effectively in a team-based environment.
