Description
We are seeking a Facilities Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Russells Point, Ohio. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology and 3-6 years of experience developing, coordinating, and managing mechanical and/or facility-related projects.
The Facilities Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for implementing and communicating an operational plan for completing a project, monitoring progress and performance against the project plan, resolving operational problems, minimizing delays, identifying, developing, and gathering necessary resources to complete the project.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating scope documents based on unit/department project requirements
- Managing and/or supporting the bidding, evaluation, and selection process of contractors for the design and construction of Facilities and department-led projects
- Creating project budgets and ensuring accuracy in company investment prioritization worksheets
- Supervising engineers and on-site contractors
- Generating project tracking documentation
- Determining and prioritizing project tasks and developing project schedules and timelines
The ideal candidate will have intermediate experience with control systems architecture and programming, strong subject matter knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, and effective communication and presentation skills.
