Technician I, Sequencing

We are seeking a highly motivated Technician I, Sequencing to join our team at Ultima Genomics, a rapidly growing life sciences technology company. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and commercialization of groundbreaking genomics technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Operate development systems and deliver test results following lab protocols and procedures
• Manage shared laboratory equipment and ensure equipment is up-to-date with calibration and maintenance procedures
• Analyze quality control metrics for instrument runs and prepare data sets for analysis
• Document and escalate issues identified during testing of development instrumentation
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering and Development groups to verify and validate product operational and performance requirements

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

• Minimum AA/AS in molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, or a closely related field
• Experience working in a laboratory environment
• Wet lab and intensive pipetting experience is beneficial
• Meticulous and detail-oriented with excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a multidisciplinary team

This contracting position offers an hourly pay rate between $25/hour and $27/hour, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
