The Senior Manager, Group Capital Solutions (“GCS”), will help originate, structure, negotiate and execute integrated capital solutions across the Group’s business units, with an emphasis on capital-motivated reinsurance, asset intensive reinsurance, funding and ALM-linked solutions.
Key Accountabilities:
- Translate business units’ needs into solution hypotheses with clear articulation of: 1) Objective and strategic rationale (cash, capital, balance sheet volatility, yield, ALM); 2) Proposed structure and risk transfer mechanics; 3) Key constraints, such as, regulatory, accounting/IFRS, tax, operations, etc.
- Originate and develop a pipeline of integrated capital solutions across LBUs, focusing on: 1) Capital-motivated reinsurance; 2) AIR-type solutions; 3) Funding, Asset/ALM-linked solutions incorporating funding, hedging and investment strategy
- Lead or coordinate structuring workstreams including but not limited to key commercial terms, settlement mechanics, and operational reporting requirements, and ensure each proposal includes robust qualitative and quantitative assessment, consistent with the Group policy expectations for capital optimisation actions
- Drive end-to-end execution readiness: coordinate internal stakeholders, align deliverables, and manage timelines from concept to approval and execution, supporting multi-jurisdictional engagement where needed. Prepare high-quality governance packs for approvals and establish post-execution monitoring of solution over its lifetime
- Contribute to the build-out of a repeatable delivery system for capital solutions by creating/maintaining playbooks, templates, and standard packs, codifying lessons learned across deals and markets and improving cycle time and governance consistency across transactions
Performance measures:
- Demonstrates clear line-of-sight from each proposed solution to financial and business outcomes. Generates practical solution concepts informed by market developments and regulatory themes. Use AI-enabled intake to convert business units’ needs into high‑quality, prioritised solution hypotheses with consistent rationale and feasibility assessment
- Builds and maintains a robust pipeline of high-quality opportunities across the Group’s business units. Pipeline is value-transparent and prioritisation-ready, using a structured view of value potential, feasibility and regulatory intensity to support sequencing and steering.
- Consistent use of the Group’s pricing and evaluation framework to ensure decisions are comparable and supported by a robust audit trail that can withstand governance scrutiny. Delivery of a consistent executive-level decision view, including objective, structure, key risks/mitigants, stresses, optionality, and monitoring plan for governance review
- Improved cycle time from origination to close for priority deals while maintaining control discipline. Implements ongoing monitoring calibrated to materiality consistent with framework expectations. Use AI-assisted governance readiness checks and automated monitoring signals to accelerate cycle time, and support ongoing effectiveness monitoring
- Increase in the number of solutions executed that are replicable/re-used (not purely bespoke), supported by reusable playbooks and standard packs. Delivers structured training/knowledge-sharing with measurable participation and uptake. Use AI to build a searchable institutional playbook that increases standardisation and scalable execution across markets and solution types

Candidate Specifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in one or more of: structured reinsurance, asset-intensive reinsurance, ALM or hedging solutions, or asset management solutions for insurers
- Strong knowledge of insurance and reinsurance techniques, solvency requirements (e.g. RBC) and international frameworks (e.g., ICS, Solvency II).
- Track record in structuring and executing complex transactions that require cross-functional coordination.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills,able to translate complex structuring topics into clear decision points for senior governance, with a collaborative and self-motivated mindset
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, FSA, or equivalent; Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Actuarial, Business Administration, or related field.
- Familiarity with Prudential Group operations, standards, and business practices would be a significant asset.
