As a General Merchandise Expert, you will be responsible for creating an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Greeting guests and providing excellent customer service
- Helping guests find what they need and resolving issues
- Maintaining a clean and organised sales floor and backroom
- Restocking shelves, receiving products, and setting up merchandise displays
- Operating power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures (if certified)
- Executing daily tasks assigned by your leader to help achieve business goals
- Supporting team efforts and assisting peers in other areas
- Adjusting to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A welcoming and helpful attitude towards all guests and team members
- Ability to communicate effectively using multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
