Description
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Revit Technician to join our team in Newcastle Upon Tyne or Stockton-On-Tees.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Revit Technician to join a supportive and friendly team and to help develop and lead a team in the production of Revit Models and CAD drawings for all stages of design.
Working with an already established team of engineers and Revit/CAD technicians, you will produce and supervise coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit, preparing engineering models and drawings from sketches and design information. You will work closely with key external stakeholders, clients, and colleagues from all parts of the WSP business to achieve multidisciplinary delivery outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
- Producing and supervising coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit
- Preparing engineering models and drawings from sketches and design information
- Working closely with key external stakeholders, clients, and colleagues
- Using BIM technologies to prepare concise engineering drawings
- Fulfilling Project Technician role – managing the drafting aspects of projects
Requirements:
- HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Experience in Building Structures as a Technician
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
- Experience in the principles of ISO 19650, BIM templates, BEPs, and use of collaborative information management software
- Strong, practical experience of using Revit in a similar building structures focused role
- Proficiency at planning and organising workload
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent presentation skills
- Familiarity with working under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Experience of working on a range of projects across a variety of sectors
You must be eligible to achieve Security Clearance.
