Scientist, Oncology Research

As a Scientist in Oncology Research, you will participate in research and drug discovery programs in the oncology pipeline. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Independently planning and performing experiments, generating and analyzing data, and presenting results and next steps to support the development of drug discovery programs in the Oncology pipeline
• Troubleshooting experiments, assays, or procedures, and developing alternative experimental approaches
• Recommending new and innovative solutions to problems utilizing knowledge of unit operations, scientific creativity, independent thought, and proficiency
• Collaborating with other scientists in R&D ONC and R&D functions, and supporting cross-team and cross-site activities to progress drug development programs in Oncology
• Keeping current with your field of specialty and contributing to scientific literature
• Ensuring laboratory notebooks are consistently updated, audited, and well-maintained

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor of Sciences degree
• Demonstrated ability to design and perform experiments, assays, methods development, validation, scale-up, or operations
• Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot problems requiring original thought
• Demonstrated knowledge in your field of expertise
• Ability to apply scientific principles to the design and interpretation of scientific experiments
• Ability to exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies
• Ability to solve routine to complex operation and scientific problems requiring original thinking and deductive reasoning
• Ability to prepare reports and interpret the results of complex experiments and present your own work
• Previous experience participating in a project team
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite of Software (Word, Excel)
• Ability to learn and apply business tools and systems such as SAP
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present your own work to a group

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sciences with at least 2-4 years of relevant experience.

In terms of compensation, employees can expect to be paid a salary between $94,560 - $141,840.00, with additional compensation potentially including a bonus or commission. Benefits include healthcare, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, and more.
