Release Manager

We are seeking a Release Manager to support the Global Solutions Management – Operations II (GSM-O II) contract at DISA. The successful candidate will work within a fast-paced, Agile team to support the management of requirements, promotion of update sets from one environment to the next, design, integration, and delivery of new functionality in support of existing frameworks in the AWS Cloud.

Primary Responsibilities The Release Manager will:

• Plan and guide cross-functional teams in executing project tasks using Lean Agile development principles
• Collaborate with Product Owners, requirements teams, development teams, and stakeholders to mitigate dependencies and implement configuration and code
• Lead and own the established release management process, including assessment, analysis, planning, and design of release packages
• Drive cross-team, functional impediments, planning, collaboration, and coordination
• Help the release team escalate and remove impediments
• Lead teams and provide coaching on the release process
• Build product roadmaps in Jira and develop metrics and reports for tracking sprint, project, and program execution
• Implement Agile methodologies to improve software delivery
• Manage stakeholder demands and expectations
• Work closely with End Users, Software, Data, and DevOps Engineers, and Data Scientists

Basic Qualifications

• US citizenship
• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Ability to commute to Scott AFB, IL, Ft. Meade, MD, or Ogden, UT for full-time on-site support
• Active security certification meeting DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher
• Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience or master's with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience
• Experience in process mapping, architecture, design, development, and delivery of data-driven operations capabilities
• Experience working with JIRA, Xray, Confluence, and Git repo
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI initiatives, cloud-based AWS services, and DevOps/DevSecOps
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and practices
• Experience with Elastic/Kibana and network routing devices
• Project management, resource management, risk management, and process improvements experience
