Description
We are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our dynamic APAC Regulatory team in Tokyo.
As a Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will help build and scale Adyen's business in Japan, executing on the Regulatory Japan team strategy, and acting as a trusted business partner to enable Adyen to create unique business opportunities while making ethical choices.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide strategic regulatory advice to internal and external stakeholders, senior management, and ensure alignment with Adyen's commercial and strategic objectives.
- Anticipate and identify key regulatory obligations and integrity risks, ensuring practical and scalable solutions.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures across the global business.
- Represent Regulatory on various work streams and products to establish regulatory strategies that align with global objectives.
- Drive alignment with global stakeholders, implement new processes, lead process changes, and manage incidents.
- Act as a point of contact for regulator interactions.
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise on their impact to Adyen.
- Operationalise regulatory requirements in Japan.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a support function within a legal or compliance team.
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong research, statutory interpretation, and organisation skills.
- Meticulous with strong attention to detail.
- Critical thinker with strategic and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Strong sense of initiative, independence, and ability to take ownership.
