Description
The London Borough of Waltham Forest is seeking a Senior Programme Manager to lead, design, and deliver complex transformation programmes.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in providing strategic leadership and collaboratively working in political environments with senior leaders and responsible officers to ensure impact and delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the definition, design, and delivery of complex organisational transformation programmes
- Providing strategic direction and alignment to programme teams
- Developing and implementing effective programme governance structures
- Driving forward the Council's transformational agenda
- Working collaboratively with senior leaders and responsible officers
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in providing strategic leadership to design and deliver complex transformational change initiatives
- Strong project management skills, including budget management and resource allocation
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills
- Experience in local government or public sector transformation initiatives is highly desirable
The role is a fixed-term position to provide maternity cover, anticipated to last for 12 months.
The salary range for this position is £68,784 - £72,399 per year.
