As a Technical & Launch Project Manager in our Webcam Engineering group, you will play a pivotal, highly adaptable role within our team. You will drive end-to-end product delivery,leading cross-functional engineering teams through new product introductions (NPI) and sustaining projects, while also overseeing packaging development for your initiatives. This role is ideal for a collaborative project manager who thrives on variety, end-to-end ownership, and bringing great consumer electronics from initial concept to mass production.
Your Contribution:
- Drive Cross-Functional Development: Lead multi-disciplinary project teams (EE, ME, FW, IQ, AE, QA, CMF) and external partners (ODM/JDM) through full product lifecycles from concept to Mass Production (MP).
- Manage Package Development & Launch: Oversee packaging deliverables,including structural design, graphics, SKU configuration, and localization,ensuring retail packaging aligns seamlessly with hardware launch schedules.
- Guide Product Certifications: Coordinate cross-functional effort and track deliverables for key ecosystem and platform certifications (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Windows Hello, WWCB).
- Partner for Execution: Collaborate closely with Product Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Manufacturing to deliver products on time, within budget, and meeting Logitech’s quality and experience standards.
- BOM & Configuration Management: Manage master product/packaging configurations, Bills of Materials (BOM), and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
- Risk & Schedule Management: Proactively identify project risks, evaluate impacts, establish mitigation plans, and communicate status/escalations to key stakeholders.
- Support Sustaining & Improvement: Facilitate post-launch improvements, cost-reduction initiatives, and component EOL/second-sourcing activities alongside operations.
Key Qualifications:
- 4–6+ years of project management experience in consumer electronics, digital hardware, or high-tech NPI environments.
- Hands-on experience leading global, cross-functional technical teams (engineering, operations, design).
- Solid understanding or practical exposure to packaging development, SKU planning, or retail product launches.
- Strong proficiency in project management methodologies, timeline tracking, risk mitigation, and BOM/ECO tools.
- Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills in English (Chinese is a strong plus for ODM/JDM collaboration).
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks flexibly across both hardware and packaging tracks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience managing hardware/firmware certification workflows for major partner ecosystems (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Windows Hello, Works With Chromebook / WWCB).
- Experience in consumer electronics involving optics, cameras, or video technologies (webcams, security cameras, laptops).
- Familiarity with retail packaging structures, Out-Of-Box Experience (OOBE), and print localization processes.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent practical industry experience.
