Description
We are looking for a motivated and service-oriented IT Support Engineer to join our Local IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day IT support, managing IT assets throughout their lifecycle, maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment, and supporting both local and international IT initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second-level technical support to local users
- Respond promptly to service requests, incidents, and technical issues
- Support users in person, via telephone, remote assistance, and email
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, operating systems and business applications, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices, network-connected equipment
- Coordinate repairs, replacements, and upgrades of IT equipment
- Support user account administration and access management
- Maintain and manage Active Directory users, groups, and permissions
- Assist with workstation deployment, configuration, and policy implementation
- Support local network and infrastructure operations
- Participate in regional and international IT projects
- Cooperate with central IT teams and external suppliers
- Support rollout activities, migrations, and infrastructure improvements
- Travel occasionally when required for project activities and training
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Previous experience in an IT Support, Service Desk, or IT Infrastructure role
- Experience managing IT hardware and software assets
- Experience supporting Windows-based environments, Microsoft 365 and Office applications, and Active Directory
- Good knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, and networking concepts, including LAN, WLAN, and VPN
- Familiarity with endpoint security and antivirus solutions;
- Experience with IT asset management and inventory systems is an advantage
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and task-prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Team-player mindset with a proactive and reliable approach
- Fluent English; German language is considered a plus
