Description

We are looking for a motivated and service-oriented IT Support Engineer to join our Local IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day IT support, managing IT assets throughout their lifecycle, maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment, and supporting both local and international IT initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first and second-level technical support to local users
  • Respond promptly to service requests, incidents, and technical issues
  • Support users in person, via telephone, remote assistance, and email
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, operating systems and business applications, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices, network-connected equipment
  • Coordinate repairs, replacements, and upgrades of IT equipment
  • Support user account administration and access management
  • Maintain and manage Active Directory users, groups, and permissions
  • Assist with workstation deployment, configuration, and policy implementation
  • Support local network and infrastructure operations
  • Participate in regional and international IT projects
  • Cooperate with central IT teams and external suppliers
  • Support rollout activities, migrations, and infrastructure improvements
  • Travel occasionally when required for project activities and training

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Previous experience in an IT Support, Service Desk, or IT Infrastructure role
  • Experience managing IT hardware and software assets
  • Experience supporting Windows-based environments, Microsoft 365 and Office applications, and Active Directory
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, and networking concepts, including LAN, WLAN, and VPN
  • Familiarity with endpoint security and antivirus solutions;
  • Experience with IT asset management and inventory systems is an advantage
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and task-prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Team-player mindset with a proactive and reliable approach
  • Fluent English; German language is considered a plus
