Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanism architecture from concept to validated hardware
- Perform kinematic synthesis, multi-body dynamics analysis, torque and force profiling, and FEA
- Select and integrate electro-mechanical actuators, precision bearings, gearboxes, linkages, and structural joints
- Build and iterate functional mechanism prototypes, evaluate kinematic behaviour and structural integrity
- Produce robust 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and design documentation meeting aerospace quality standards
- Collaborate with systems, structures, and avionics teams across design reviews and integration milestones
Requirements
- Experience designing and delivering complex kinematic mechanisms and moving systems for aerospace, drone, or similar applications
- Proficiency in multi-body dynamics tools, FEA, and 3D/2D CAD and PLM workflows
- Knowledge of precision mechanical components, aerospace-grade materials, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to act decisively with minimal guidance and own outcomes end-to-end
Nice to Have
- Experience designing mechanisms for harsh or constrained operational environments
- Familiarity with Hardware-in-the-Loop test environments and their application to kinematic system validation
