Description
We are seeking a Systems Software Engineer to join our team in the HPE Hybrid Cloud. As a Systems Software Engineer, you will lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for all of HPE. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing the product portfolio of our next-generation cloud platform, Green Lake.
Responsibilities:
- Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for systems software
- Analyze design and determine coding, programming, and integration activities required
- Write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation
- Lead a project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners
- Collaborate and communicate with management, internal, and outsourced development partners
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Typically, 4+ years of experience in validating storage firmware products/protocols, and system software including kernel/OS
Knowledge and Skills:
- Expertise in multiple software systems design tools and languages (Python, shell)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Designing software systems running on multiple platform types
- Software systems testing methodology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid experience with firmware testing
- Working experience with PCIe, NTB, and NVMe interfaces
- Strong understanding of QA and release processes
- Networking knowledge in areas such as TCP/IP and networking infrastructure
- Comfortable working in Linux, Windows, and VMware environments
