Night Auditor - Part Time - Best Western

We are seeking a part-time Night Auditor to join our team at Best Western in Sterling, Virginia. You will be responsible for balancing and closing the previous business day, completing daily financial reports, and managing person-in-charge duties during the overnight shift. Your goal will be to provide exceptional guest service while ensuring security protocols are followed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform the manager-on-duty role during the 3rd shift, anticipating and responding to guests in a friendly and positive manner.
• Process check-ins and check-outs, verify billing, create reservations, and handle special requests.
• Assist guests by having knowledge of hotel property, local attractions, and hours of operation of hotel outlets and services.
• Balance all revenue sources and complete daily financial reports.
• Process no-show reservations and prepare financial reports for managerial review.
• Close the financial day for the hotel.
• Follow proper selling techniques to maximize room revenues.
• Monitor room availability and adhere to booking policies and procedures.
• Drive sales and maximize revenue by up-selling rooms and amenities.
• Adhere to company procedures when handling cash and processing financial transactions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company brand, local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years prior guest service experience required, preferably in a hospitality setting.
• Prior night audit or accounting experience preferred.
• Excellent computer knowledge and communication skills needed.
• Attention to detail, customer-focused, and ability to perform job duties in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.
