We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to join our team at Cirium, the industry leader in aviation analytics. As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of aviation analytics by designing and delivering scalable data and software solutions.
You will work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical outcomes, mentor team members, and contribute to the growth and success of the engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with technical personnel to finalize requirements
- Write and review detailed specifications for complex system components
- Complete complex bug fixes and work with development team members to understand product requirements
- Implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews
- Operate in various development environments and collaborate with stakeholders
- Train entry-level software engineers and mentor less-senior developers
- Design and work with complex data models
Requirements:
- Expertise in Snowflake, PySpark, Python, and SQL
- Hands-on experience with GitHub, Jetstream, and AWS
- Knowledge of AI development tools and SDD (Spec Driven Development)
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience with machine learning models or statistical analysis
- Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies
- Strong proficiency with data manipulation language and optimization techniques
