Melt-Out Operative

We are seeking a Melt-Out Operative to join our team in Brackley. As a Melt-Out Operative, you will assist with the laminating of components and tooling across a range of industry sectors, sizes and complexities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Final preparation of patterns and moulds
• Using a variety of hand tools, small air tools and abrasive paper to hand finish master patterns to the highest of standards
• Spray sealer to patterns then post spraying preparation
• Work to drawings and working instructions
• Help develop processes to improve quality and efficiency
• Keep all equipment maintained
• Ensure the department is kept clean and tidy

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a pattern shop or similar environment
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Good attention to detail is essential
• Able to follow work instructions
• Good awareness of health and safety
• Good verbal communication and listening skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Used to working in a fast-moving environment
• Flexible approach to whatever it takes to get the job done
• Problem Solving skills
