Description
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at MI6, you'll provide technical direction and mentorship to less experienced colleagues. You'll be responsible for deploying, operating, and maintaining software services across various platforms, from standalone systems to large Kubernetes clusters on cloud platforms.
You'll deploy and operate software services on established platforms, build, maintain, and continuously improve Kubernetes-based deployments, and develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
Your role involves applying Site Reliability Engineering principles to production services, monitoring service health, performance, availability, and reliability, and troubleshooting deployment and operational issues.
You'll collaborate closely with development, platform, and infrastructure teams to reduce manual effort and increase deployment speed. You'll also use AI-assisted tools to improve delivery efficiency.
The role requires experience with AI within engineering processes, reviewing AI output, guiding AI to produce software and deployments that meet corporate standards, and integrating AI capabilities into production systems.
You'll have a relevant degree or equivalent experience in industry, and a passion for writing code, improving processes, and communicating with technical and non-technical colleagues.
