Functional Safety Engineer

We are seeking a Functional Safety Engineer to join our team, working closely with development teams to ensure safety requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle. You will support mechatronic, software, and system engineers in implementing functional safety aspects, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262.

Responsibilities:

• Work with development teams to ensure safety requirements are followed throughout the product lifecycle
• Support mechatronic, software, and system engineers in implementing functional safety aspects
• Use tools like SystemWeaver, DOORS, or Elektra to manage safety-related requirements and create traceability between specifications, implementation, and test results
• Analyze functions using MATLAB/Simulink to contribute to understanding and implementing safety requirements
• Participate in verification and validation activities, ensuring development processes follow quality frameworks like Automotive SPICE and CMMI
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external partners to gather information, investigate issues, and contribute to high safety and quality solutions

Requirements:

• Experience working with Functional Safety in vehicle development
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechatronics, software, electrical engineering, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in the Functional Safety domain
• Good knowledge of ISO 26262
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and requirement management tools like SystemWeaver, DOORS, Elektra, or similar
• Familiarity with software and quality processes such as CMMI and Automotive SPICE
• Fluent communication in Swedish and English
• B driver's license
