Technical Site Reliability Engineer

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.

You will join the Advanced Capabilities team, which is the internal warfighter research team for Anduril's Maneuver Dominance division.

As a Technical Site Reliability Engineer, you will design, build, and operate the infrastructure that supports the simulation software stack for wargaming facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the simulation software stack, including installation, configuration, updates, and day-to-day functionality.
• Own the underlying infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, and environment configuration.
• Build and maintain a post-release test suite to validate software releases.
• Forecast, diagnose, and eliminate failure modes.
• Partner with development teams and stakeholders to review upcoming changes and implement mitigation strategies.
• Monitor overall system health and document lessons learned.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Python for automation, tooling, and test development.
• Working knowledge of C++.
• Solid general networking fundamentals.
• Experience with project management, issue tracking, and bug triage.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining production or production-adjacent systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Eligibility to pass security and background check requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with modeling and simulation, wargaming, or distributed simulation standards.
• Test automation and CI/CD experience.
• Infrastructure-as-code and configuration management experience.
• On-prem and cloud deployment experience.
• Observability tooling experience.
• Linux systems administration depth.
• Prior work in a defense, aerospace, or classified environment.
• Active security clearance.
