Summer 2027 Software Engineering Internship/Co-op

SpaceXAI seeks extraordinary students for a Summer 2027 software engineering internship. As an intern, you will work closely with mentors and employees on impactful projects, applying your knowledge and growing your skills.

The company's mission is to create AI systems that accurately understand the universe and aid humanity in its pursuit of knowledge. This includes projects like Grok, a frontier AI model, and Starmind, a new satellite constellation.

Basic Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate program
• 3+ months of software programming or development experience
• Software coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• GPA of 3.5 or above
• 6+ months of experience developing and deploying software for real-world applications
• Strong fundamental knowledge of computer architecture and networks
• Experience with software documentation, system diagrams, and software requirements
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, such as leading a student organization or working in teams
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and independently

Additional Requirements:

• Able to work full-time onsite for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks starting in May or June 2027

Compensation and Benefits:

• Software Engineering Intern/Freshman/Sophomore: $30 USD per hour
• Software Engineering Intern/Junior/Senior: $34 USD per hour
• Software Engineering Intern/Completed Bachelor's: $36 USD per hour
• Software Engineering Intern/Completed Master's: $38 USD per hour
• Software Engineering Intern/Completed PhD: $40 USD per hour
