Sr. PCBA Aerospace Manufacturing Test Engineer

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network aimed at delivering fast, reliable internet to customers and communities worldwide. As a Sr. PCBA Aerospace Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in deploying, qualifying, and continuously improving test systems, processes, and procedures at Contract Manufacturing (CM) sites for Satellite PCBAs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement test strategies, setup, and processes at CM sites, including identifying, specifying, designing, and qualifying test fixtures, equipment, and maintenance programs.
• Debug and analyze PCBA failures at CM sites, creating runbooks and training technicians.
• Collaborate with R&D and Test Development teams to enhance test systems, software, fixtures, and procedures for better effectiveness and throughput.
• Analyze data to spot failure trends and suggest improvements for PCBA, processes, and test systems.
• Develop procedures and documentation for test operators and provide training.
• Offer feedback to the Test Development team on test coverage, fault isolation, PCBA failure trends, and DFT recommendations.
• Lead small teams for short-term objectives and strategic initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with Linux/RHEL or programming/scripting languages.
• 8+ years of experience with complex test systems, RF functional tests, high power electrical tests, ICT/bed-of-nails fixtures, and Flying Probe test.
• 8+ years of experience integrating software and hardware systems and using standard electronic lab test equipment.
• Ability to write detailed test station operating procedures and create deployment plans.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience with complex test systems.
• Experience with space hardware test processes and software tools for test automation.
• Knowledge of electrical design including power supplies, FPGAs, sensors, RF, and high-speed digital interfaces.
• Proven ability to run small teams.
