Description
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our outpatient team at Advocate Health in Cartersville, GA. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, promoting a cooperative work environment, and contributing to the overall quality of services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care assessment and treatment, ensuring comprehensive and functional evaluations and treatments according to the Standard of Practice
- Develop and implement treatment plans with realistic goals, encouraging patients and significant others in setting goals
- Supervise support staff and provide direction and feedback
- Maintain accurate documentation, completing written patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge notes per policy
- Meet department financial and productivity standards, adjusting individual schedules to meet patient and department needs
- Participate in process management to optimize quality and efficiency of services, identifying quality and operational opportunities
- Promote professional development and education of other healthcare workers, providing representation on committees and conducting in-service training programs
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers, responding to questions and promoting an open atmosphere of communication
Requirements:
- B.S., M.S., or D.P.T degree from an accredited physical therapy school
- Current licensure in the state of Georgia and CPR certification in Basic Life Support, Level C
- Previous hospital experience preferred
Work Environment:
- Subject to stress conditions, moderate noise environment, and frequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens and airborne pathogens
- May make home visits, with exposure to unpleasant patient elements, body fluids, and electro-mechanical hazards
