Lead/Principal Software Engineer

Prudential Health India is seeking a Lead/Principal Software Engineer to join their Experience team in Mumbai. The role involves designing and building a cloud-native, microservices-oriented platform for health insurance, with a focus on reusability, scalability, and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the long-term architectural direction and interactions between applications
• Collaborate with stakeholders to engineer technology solutions meeting business requirements
• Design, develop, and test software programs for backend systems
• Establish standards for platform development and conceptualize reusable frameworks
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcomes
• Develop open APIs and capabilities for seamless integration across ecosystem partners
• Use data-driven insights to guide program development
• Follow and contribute to architecture and coding standards

Requirements:

• 12-15 years of experience
• Expertise in Java, NodeJS, Python, microservices, enterprise NoSQL databases, stream-based processing, REST API frameworks, and more
• Proficiency in tools like Github, Build pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, Google Cloud Platform, and Jenkins
• Exceptional engineering skills, collaboration, and communication abilities
• Strong problem analysis and solution development skills
