Director, Consumer and Retail Coverage - East Coast

We are seeking a Director, Consumer and Retail Coverage - East Coast to manage a portfolio of U.S.-based Consumer and Retail clients.

As a CIB Coverage Banker, you will deepen existing client relationships and build new long-term partnerships aligned to HSBC's ambition to be the Leading International Bank.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of Consumer and Retail clients as primary point of contact with sector-informed coverage
• Deliver revenue and RoRWA growth through implementation of the Consumer and Retail and CIB strategy, globally
• Build long-term client relationships and secure new Consumer and Retail client partnerships aligned to HSBC's strategy
• Act as a strategic trusted adviser to Consumer and Retail sector clients at headquarters level
• Coordinate with product specialists across CIB and Global Network Banking teams to develop and present solutions for global client needs
• Own customer engagement across the relationship lifecycle, ensuring service excellence end to end
• Inspire and motivate junior colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality relationship management

Requirements:

• Proven track record managing and developing a high-performing sales team in a sizeable market
• Substantial experience managing global large corporate clients, including knowledge of key sector trends and the regulatory environment
• Strong knowledge of banking products and services, with evidence of sales success
• Evidence ownership of a business segment or area Profit and Loss (P&L) outcomes
• Strong organisational, analytical, negotiation, communication, teamwork, and influencing skills in client coverage
• Credit training or equivalent demonstrable experience
• Established experience in customer-facing roles
• Knowledge of regulations impacting the business, including lending and credit approval processes
• Experience delivering strategic change in a matrix environment
• Series 79 and 63 FINRA licenses or commitment to attaining them
