Description
We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team at Atrium Health Kings Mountain. As a Full-Time Weekender, you will provide direct therapy services to patients admitted to a level of care where service provision is required 7 days a week, including holidays.
Job Summary: As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate patients, select and administer assessment techniques, and synthesize information to establish an appropriate patient care plan. You will also gather and interpret data from medical records, physician reports, patients, and families, and document evaluations, tests, progress notes, and discharge notes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to patients
- Evaluate patients and develop care plans
- Gather and interpret data from medical records and physician reports
- Document patient progress and discharge notes
- Communicate with physicians, referral sources, and other clinical staff
- Supervise PTA's and Rehab Tech/Aide as required
Physical Requirements:
- Hearing and vision adequate for oral/aural communication and reading
- Intelligible speech and adequate language/cognitive skills
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, kneel, twist, bend, and lift patients and equipment
- Ability to laterally transfer patients up to 100 pounds
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Applicable state license for Physical Therapy
- BLS certification
