The EA SPORTS FC franchise is the world's #1 best-selling video game, with over 200 million engaged players across multiple platforms. As a Systems Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the primary systems and shared engine that power the game.
You will work in a hybrid model, spending three days a week at the EAV Studio in Burnaby, British Columbia. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with designers and other engineers to provide feedback and create technical designs
- Developing tested and high-quality technical implementations that meet requirements
- Analysing how technical implementation impacts performance and memory budgets
- Identifying ways to increase team efficiency through tooling or workflow enhancements
- Contributing to core EA technologies in an architecturally sound way
To qualify, you will need:
- Experience with systems-level work and a strong understanding of C++ language and best practices
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with non-technical partners
- Experience with parallel programming, resource management, and hardware architecture
- A minimum of 5 years of programming experience, with a focus on C++ code
- Familiarity with performance and memory profiling tools
- Experience with embedded systems
