Packaging COE Engineer

We are seeking a Packaging COE Engineer to design shipping containers that maximize CBM utilization in transportation. The successful candidate will bring new innovative ideas for packaging styles, materials, and benchmark NA, EU & IMG plants packaging to incorporate Best in World design in terms of packaging and freight costs.

Responsibilities:

• Design shipping containers to maximize CBM utilization in transportation
• Bring new innovative ideas for packaging styles, materials, etc. based on industry/new tech updates
• Benchmark NA, EU & IMG plants packaging and incorporate Best in World design in terms of packaging and freight costs
• Simulate using Packaging Design-oriented tools to identify the best packaging for each part and implement through standardized processes
• Drive environmental packaging sustainable solutions for the lowest carbon footprint
• Liaise with suppliers, plant packaging, purchasing functions to complete on-time packaging sign-off and prepare reports

Qualifications:

• Engineering or other technical degree required (e.g., Mech. Engr, Pkg Engr, Industrial Engr)
• 3-5 years of experience in packaging development and implementation
• Working knowledge in Pack assist or similar packaging-related software
• Hands-on knowledge in Ansys, CATIA, CAD, Packaging material selection
• Good knowledge in various packaging methods across industries
• Proficient in System/App – CMMS, MS Project, Access, Excel, Word, Power BI, Power Apps, Python
