Cleaning Operative

We are seeking a Cleaning Operative to join our team on a part-time temporary basis. The successful candidate will work 16 hours per week, including weekends, at Jackson Square, Bishop's Stortford.

The role involves providing a high-quality janitorial service, both internally and externally, and welfare areas, such as washrooms, management suite, back of house, and main shopping mall. Responsibilities include:

• Carrying out duties effectively and efficiently as part of a team
• Handling waste generated on site via approved waste streams
• Using walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers, and other cleaning equipment
• Responding to spillages and callouts from the client's on-site team
• Communicating effectively with team members and line managers
• Wearing protective clothing and complying with Health & Safety legislation and policies

Requirements include:

• Basic level of knowledge of health and safety requirements or a willingness to learn
• Knowledge of cleaning methods or a willingness to learn
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Physical fitness for an active role
