Category Manager Retail & Insights Manager (Interim)

We are seeking a Category Manager Retail & Insights Manager (Interim) to support the Trade Marketing Manager in defining and executing the Trade Marketing and Category strategy for Discounters and Cash & Carry in Madrid.

The successful candidate will lead Shopper Insights for Off Premise, turning data into actionable insights to support Sales, Field Sales, and key customer conversations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Shopper & Commercial Insights for Off Premise, analyzing market, shopper, and customer data to identify trends and growth opportunities.
• Define and execute the Category Management and Trade Marketing agenda for Discounters and Cash & Carry.
• Provide Sales and Field Sales teams with relevant category insights, tools, and selling stories.
• Manage and leverage market information, shopper research, and relevant data sources.
• Support the Trade Marketing Manager and Off Premise team in Business Planning.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in FMCG, preferably within Category Management, Shopper/Commercial Insights, Trade Marketing, or Sales.
• Strong understanding of FMCG markets, sales, distribution, shopper behavior, and category management.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to transform complex datasets into clear business recommendations.
• Experience working with market and shopper information sources such as NielsenIQ, Circana/IRI, household panels, loyalty data, or shopper research.
• Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to connect data and insights with customer and channel opportunities.
• Experience developing customer-facing category presentations, selling stories, or commercial recommendations.
• Ability to influence and build strong relationships across Sales, Trade Marketing, Field, and international teams.
• Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex information for different audiences.
• Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on execution mindset.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization or analytics tools is highly valued.
• English mandatory.
• Travel 20%.
